Earlier this year the UK NEQAS Blood Coagulation annual meeting made its return to the Sheffield Hallam University city-centre campus. Chris Reilly-Stitt reports on the presentations made at the event.
The annual meeting for Clinical and Laboratory Haemostasis made a return to a face-to-face meeting in June 2022. Each day saw a face-to-face attendance of in excess of 260 delegates, with an additional 78 able to attend virtually across both days.
Delegates were welcomed into the newly refurbished Atrium Conference Centre at Sheffield Hallam University (SHU). The re-modelling extended the floor space to allow social distancing and reassure individuals still concerned with COVID-19 and wary of a full return to pre-pandemic social norms.
The virtual attendees were linked via a secure YouTube Stream to the live sessions. Speakers were able to attend in person or in two cases be connected remotely for their presentations.
