2025 Annual SHOT Symposium

Registrations and abstract submissions for the 2025 Annual SHOT Symposium are now open. Join the Serious Hazards of Transfusion (SHOT) scheme for an engaging and inspiring event, featuring insightful discussions, presentations from expert speakers, key highlights from the latest Annual SHOT Report, and valuable networking opportunities.

This event will be relevant to all health care professionals involved in transfusion – laboratory staff, clinicians, transfusion practitioners and haemovigilance specialists, as well as quality assurance professionals.

Additionally, abstract submissions are now open, with a deadline of 18 April. If you have any audit, educational or operational improvement projects or innovative ideas to share, we invite you to submit your abstract for consideration. This will also be a great opportunity to showcase the work being done to implement recommendations from the Infected Blood Inquiry and enhance transfusion safety.

There is a subsidised ‘Early Bird’ fee of £120 person when payment is received by Friday 30 May (strictly non-refundable) to cover catering and hire charges. Thereafter the delegates fee will be £140 per person.

A limited number of free bursary places are available to students and those working at AFC band 6 or below (or equivalent), for further info please visit the SHOT website.
