‘POCT: The power to disrupt’ comes to London

The next in the series of POCT events hosted by Thornhill Healthcare has been announced for London on 23 August, taking place at The Royal College of Pathologists in Aldgate.

Designed to be free for NHS attendees and affordable for the commercial sector, the event will encompass a full day of networking, sharing best practice in point of care and rapid diagnostics, and showcasing medical devices in a 30-strong vendor exhibition including many new devices not previously exhibited at this event.

Highlights from the provisional agenda include:

  • A Southwest Network and NHS England perspective – Bruce Daniel, Head of Pathology, NHS England South West
  • The UK medical device landscape: Opportunities and challenges – Doris-Ann Williams, Chief Executive, BIVDA
  • Adopting point of care in imaging – Kerrie Killeen, Service Improvement Lead, University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust
  • A national POCT strategy – David Wells, Chief Executive, IBMS
  • Clinical perspectives in the ICU – Robert Kong, Consultant in Cardiac Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, University Hospitals Sussex.

Attendance is free to NHS staff but places are limited due to the venue size. NHS staff who make a booking and subsequently do not attend the event will receive a £99 delegate fee charge which we will send to the organisation procurement lead. The fee for commercial delegates will be £179+VAT.
