An introduction to new point-of-care platforms

Randox has supplied laboratories worldwide with revolutionary diagnostic solutions for almost 40 years, providing them with the right tools to improve healthcare.

Randox has now introduced two of the latest additions, the VeraSTAT and the VeraSTAT-V, both machines adding to a portfolio of point-of-care (POC) diagnostics. The VeraSTAT offers users the next generation of rapid diagnosis in as little as six minutes, whereas the VeraSTAT-V has been designed to detect the earliest signs of inflammation in veterinary diagnosis.

Clinical diagnostics is at the heart of Randox, and experience and expertise has paved the way for the development of innovative and accurate diagnostic products for Equine Health. The Randox VeraSTAT-V is a stable-side device designed to detect, measure and monitor inflammation in whole horse blood. The device is a portable small-footprint point-of-care device based on cathodic electrochemiluminescence technology. This next-generation testing technology means that results will be available in as little as six minutes. The VeraSTAT-V is built to enhance detection in a stable yard setting for ultimate convenience.

The Randox VeraSTAT is a simple, accurate, fast, portable point-of-care device based on cathodic electrochemiluminescence technology. All necessary reagents are included in each single use, sealed cassette with no preparation required and an intuitive user interface that guides the operator through the entire testing process. Designed to offer users the next generation of rapid diagnosis, providing results in as little as six minutes. The superiority allows for users to overcome performance limitations of previous generation tests relating to sensitivity, accuracy, ease of use and cost-efficiency. With a versatile test menu, comprising a range of immunoassay, protein, inflammatory, diabetes and infectious disease markers, the Randox VeraSTAT is built to enhance detection in any setting.
