Pioneering software delivers QC confidence and precision

Long-standing Stago UK customers are pioneering key elements of the company’s My Quality Solutions package as part of their comprehensive laboratory quality control requirements, as illustrated by examples from three hospital sites.

My Quality Solutions from Stago UK comprise My Expert QC, which compares real-time data for everyone in the laboratory network; frozen plasma sets for instrument and reagent correlation (ExpertCor); My Daily QC; and the company’s international external quality assessment (EQA) programme, My Qualiris QC. Along with traditional surveys for all routine and specialist assays, the ISO17043-accredited scheme issues three Diagnostic Challenges every year, providing simulated patient samples with a clinical history, each reflecting a specific coagulation issue.

The SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus and COVID disease have put coagulation laboratories under increasing pressure, having to juggle workloads and staff availability while maintaining their compliance obligations. Solutions, already seen as innovative when first selected, have now become essential workflow, including compliance and efficiency tools during the challenge of adapting protocols.

Here, Pathology in Practice speaks to three very different coagulation laboratories about how Stago is helping them meet these challenges.
