Next month, the biennial IBMS Congress series returns to the International Convention Centre in Birmingham. Delegates and visitors to the event will find the very best that biomedical science and commercial colleagues have to offer. Here, Pathology in Practice provides a preview of the scientific programme and the supporting exhibition.
Over the four days of Congress, delegates will be able to choose from 15 different lecture programmes, which is unparalleled in any other biomedical science event. In addition to the usual pathology disciplines that form the backbone of this important biennial event, this year will see a whole day of lectures devoted to point-of-care testing (POCT) and a day of veterinary pathology lectures, both of which bring new science, new insight and more options for delegates at Congress.
Another benefit available both to delegates and visitors is the associated exhibition. The support of commercial colleagues is vital in staging an event the size of Congress, and later in this preview some of the companies exhibiting at the ICC in Birmingham provide a taste of what may be found on their stands.
