Clinical and Laboratory Haemostasis 2018, the UK NEQAS for Blood Coagulation annual scientific and participant’s meeting, was held on 13–14 June at The Atrium Conference Centre, Sheffield Hallam University. More than 400 delegates attended over two days of the event that included clinical, laboratory and research aspects of haemostasis and thrombosis. In addition to presentations from national and international experts, there was a poster display together with a commercial exhibition. This review of the proceedings has been compiled from information made available for the meeting.
Professor Isobel Walker (Director, UK NEQAS for Blood Coagulation) opened proceedings with a welcome address to all delegates and thanked all speakers, exhibitors and organisers of the event before introducing Dr Steve Kitchen (Scientific Director, UK NEQAS for Blood Coagulation) to chair the opening session.
