Ian Jennings reports on proceedings of the second day of the UK NEQAS for Blood Coagulation scientific and participants’ meeting, which is held annually at The Atrium at Sheffield Hallam University.
Clinical and Laboratory Haemostasis 2017, the UK NEQAS for Blood Coagulation (BC) annual scientific and participants’ meeting was held over two days last June, during which over 300 delegates covered clinical, laboratory and research aspects of haemostasis and thrombosis. Recognised national and international experts travelled to give a talk in their specialist area of interest, and in addition to the lecture programme there was a poster display and also a commercial exhibition.
Professor Isobel Walker (UK NEQAS Blood Coagulation [BC] Director) opened proceedings on the second day of this meeting by welcoming delegates and thanking all speakers, exhibitors and organisers before introducing Dr Will Lester to chair the opening session.
