Anaerobic bacteriology: introduction of the latest ergonomic jar system

The addition of two new ergonomic anaerobic jars to the Anoxomat range promises to maximise the use of space both in the laboratory and within incubators. Jim Smith explains.

Vitech Scientific has been supplying instrumentation to the clinical, pharmaceutical and university sectors since 1984 and has recently been appointed the UK distributer for the Anoxomat system. This is a space-saving anaerobic jar system for cultivation of microorganisms for use in microbiology departments within the clinical and non-clinical sectors. In addition to the existing Anoxomat range of instruments and jars, Vitech Scientific has recently announced the addition of 12-plate and 24-plate ergonomic jars for the latest Advanced Instruments Anoxomat system specifically designed to maximise incubator and laboratory space.

“Our extensive research to help make the jars as effective and useful as possible has paid off,” said Sinderella Abdallah, Advanced Instruments Microbiology Product Manager. “With clinical laboratories under more pressure than ever to identify bacteria quickly and accurately, reduce costs, and operate in limited workspace, we’re now able to offer another efficient version of the Anoxomat anaerobic jar.”
