Signatrol has launched a new dual-temperature transmitter to its wireless SpYdaq temperature and humidity monitoring system that enables users to monitor temperature at two locations in close proximity (eg refrigerators), reducing costs and making it particularly suitable for blood storage applications.
SpYdaq 1010 has two sensors, each ranging from –40°C to +125°C, connected to a single SpYdaq transmitter, which can be located at strategic points. The SpYdaq 1010 is particularly useful for blood storage as one sensor can monitor the refrigerator temperature to alert the user to any immediate issues, while the other sensor can be placed inside the simulated blood pouch to monitor the actual blood core temperature and the effect that any temperature excursions may have had on blood quality. Using two sensors also now extends the number of monitoring points on a basic system to 32.
SpYdaq is a temperature and humidity monitoring system that offers an affordable alternative to hard-wired options. It allows users to deploy sensors in various locations, without the restrictions and cost of hard wiring, and monitor results from a PC, either locally or anywhere in the world via web access with easy-to-use software.
