The next Biomedical Science Congress is now less than six months away. More than just a scientific meeting, this complete professional experience can be tailored to the individual needs of all who work in biomedical science.
The Biomedical Science Congress is now less than six months. The full programme was published in the February issue of The Biomedical Scientists and detailed everything of value to biomedical scientists, covering scientific advances and techniques in every discipline in laboratory medicine, the latest developments in education, training and management, technical workshops for hands-on training and experience, and a comprehensive exhibition.
The principal content of the Biomedical Science Congress is the scientific programme, which will allow Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registrants the opportunity to acquire a significant number of CPD credits. Congress will provide access to the vast body of knowledge of which the IBMS is custodian and will ensure a productive output for every attendee. The programme will also include one-to-one and small group sessions on focused topics. The result will be the most comprehensive three-day programme of content delivered through a variety of meeting formats that will make a significant contribution to the personal professional portfolio of every attendee.
Congress exhibition
Important though the Congress programme is, the associated exhibition plays a vital role in the total experience, as it combines business, networking and social exchange. As the exhibition comprises the free circulation area of the event, naturally it is the place where delegates view the latest equipment, discuss methodologies and generally enhance their knowledge of what is available commercially, as well as take refreshment breaks and generally discuss the issues of the day with friends, colleagues and peers. More than the sum of its parts, the exhibition covers Halls 3 and 4 of the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Birmingham, and also extends out into the registration area, balcony areas and corridors.
