Reinnervate, an expert in 3D cell culture, has announced the release of information to help scientists make the switch from traditional 2D cell culture to 3D cell growth. Entitled ‘Review of Imaging Techniques Compatible with 3D Culture of Cells’, the document covers many different approaches for the visualisation of cells growing in three dimensions, such as that achieved using the company’s alvetex 3D scaffold.
As well as discussing new applications for the use of live 3D imaging of cells, the document also provides a solution to the daily challenge of visual inspection to check the health and growth of a culture when growing cells in 3D.
“We are delighted to finally bring scientists a solution for live cell imaging and daily health checks for cells growing in 3D,” commented Barry Lynch, Reinnervate’s marketing manager. “Customers constantly express the desire to be able to grow cells in a more in vivo-like environment, but so far the ability to check each day for growth and cell health using conventional light microscopes has not been possible with 3D cell cultures. With this publication, can now demonstrate a simple and effective solution.
