Congress exhibition: the meeting of worlds and opportunities

The recently launched Congress programme clearly demonstrates the vital importance of the symbiotic relationship that exists between the commercial sector and the profession it supports. Attendance, however, offers so much more, and now is the most cost-effective time to book and pay.

The Congress exhibition plays a vital role in the total Biomedical Science Congress experience, as it combines business, networking and social exchange. As the exhibition comprises the free circulation area of the event, it is the place where delegates view the latest equipment, discuss methodologies and generally enhance their knowledge of what is available commercially. It is also the place to take coffee breaks, lunch and generally discuss the issues of the day with friends, colleagues and peers.

The Congress exhibition is the largest of its kind in the UK, with over 140 companies and organisations displaying the latest products, services, equipment and technology. It will also be open to visitors, who can take advantage of all the amenities available and access the vast body of expertise that the exhibition represents. More than the sum of its parts, the exhibition at the International Convention centre (ICC) in Birmingham covers Halls 3 and 4 and also extends out into the registration area, balcony areas and corridors.

Congress this year will concentrate on learning outcomes to deliver a productive output for every biomedical scientist in attendance. The exhibition will provide an opportunity to earn CPD points through reflective practice, and there will be one-to-one and small group sessions on focused topics. The result will be the most comprehensive three-day programme of content delivered through a variety of meeting formats that will make a significant contribution to the personal professional portfolio of every attendee.
