Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced that its Atlas chromatography data system (CDS) now supports the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system. Thermo Scientific Atlas version 8.2 provides liquid chromatography and gas chromatography instrument control, digital data acquisition, chromatography data processing and reporting, all in a familiar, easy-touse and widely supported Microsoft Windows Vista environment.
Windows Vista provides a more secure computing environment for desktop and enterprise-wide laboratory operations. “As more companies deploy Microsoft Vista, there is strong interest in adopting software applications that are tested and vendor-validated in the Vista environment,” said Dave Champagne, vice president and general manager of informatics at Thermo Fisher. “Atlas version 8.2 provides laboratories that are planning for Vista with an ideal CDS solution.”
