Four HPC Council members appointed

Following recent elections, the Health Professions Council (HPC) has announced two new members to its Council and two re-elected members. Among the four people appointed is Jeff Seneviratne, who is the new registrant member for clinical scientists.

Currently, Jeff works as a consultant clinical scientist in clinical biochemistry in Stockport NHS Foundation Trust, but will retire at the end of this month. However, he will continue part-time as a clinical lead for the Greater Manchester Pathology Network, for which he also chairs the Biochemistry Network Advisory Group and the IM&T Group.

Commenting on the result of the recent elections, Marc Seale, HPC chief executive, said: “I am delighted at the results of the election as those elected or re-elected will bring a wealth of experience to the Council.”
