GE Healthcare has announced completion of the contract to supply Centricity Ultra Laboratory to NHS Highland’s pathology department at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness.
This news confirms GE Healthcare’s long-term commitment to the laboratory market in the NHS and adds to the growing user base of the former Triple G product in the UK Important features of the Ultra product in anatomical pathology include the storage and inclusion of images on patient reports, the conference management functionality with automatic generation of presentations, the recording of all steps in the work production process and, most importantly for Scottish laboratories, the commitment to use the SCI Store Multi index as the source of the definitive patient record.
Centricity Ultra Laboratory can operate in a single department or across all pathology disciplines, either in single or multi-site configurations. This flexibility is especially valuable where Centricity Ultra Laboratory forms an integral part of GE Healthcare’s Enterprise portfolio, which offers complete one-stop IT solutions to the entire hospital organisation.
