Precise oxygen control

Don Whitley Scientific has launched the Whitley HA500 workstation, specifically designed for research requiring normoxic, hypoxic and anoxic conditions. The spacious workstation allows cells to be manipulated in situ without altering the incubation environment, enabling researchers to replicate conditions comparable to those found in vivo.

Oxygen concentrations can be controlled in 0.1% increments from 0.1% up to 20%, and carbon dioxide in 0.1% increments from 0.1% to 15%. Together with precise gas control, temperature and humidity levels can also be regulated using the intuitive touchscreen interface.

Constructed from annealed acrylic for low gas permeability, the Whitley HA500 has an integral airlock that uses atmospheric flushing to allow efficient and convenient transfer of culture flasks, Petri dishes and plates, without compromising the chamber environment. The workstation also features ergonomically designed and patented portholes that allow both gloved- and bare-hand working.
