Christie Hospital upgrades haematology analysers

Two new ADVIA 2120 haematology systems are being supplied to Christie Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester by Siemens Medical Solutions Diagnostics as part of a major laboratory equipment procurement contract covering haematology, chemistry and immunodiagnostics.

The specialist cancer hospital has been able to source all of its blood science analyser requirements through Siemens, which is also supplying two ADVIA 1800 chemistry systems, an Immulite immunoassay system and a CentraLink data management system.

Siemens has also entered into a partnership with Instrumentation Laboratory for the supply of new coagulation equipment to the haematology department. All aspects of reagent/consumables supply and instrument maintenance are covered by a managed service agreement.
