Lambda Advanced Technology (LAT) is offering organisations in the UK the use of a scanning electron microscope for a day at no charge.
LAT director Vince Phelan explained: “The TM-1000 is extremely easy to use and also easy to set up. We can arrive first thing in the morning to install the microscope and give some basic training, and the user should be up and running by 10.30. We’ll leave the system for unlimited use until 16.30, after which we will dismantle it and take it away.”
The TM-1000 is designed to bridge the gap between optical and electron microscopy by offering the resolution, depth-of-field and magnification capabilities associated with electron optics. Its ease of use means that nonspecialists can obtain images of outstanding quality, with applications, for example, in life sciences, food, healthcare and education.
