Undergraduate Ambassadors Scheme

Students from the Biology Department at Hull University have helped to launch the new DVD from the Undergraduate Ambassadors Scheme (UAS), following a series of presentations charting their own experiences of completing a UAS module.

Launched in 2002, UAS has proved a popular way of introducing science, technology, engineering and mathematics students to the real world of teaching, and providing them with the opportunity to gain transferable skills.

Currently funded by the Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA), UAS is aimed at students in the final or penultimate year of their science degree and provides the framework for a degree course module awarding academic credit to undergraduates working with teachers in local schools. Financial assistance is available to fund the initial set up of the scheme.
