Chips with everything

Agilent Technologies has introduced the Agilent 1200 series liquid chromatography (LC) system. Liquid chromatography is used in applications from forensics to food safety, pharmaceuticals to protein research, and is applied to separate, identify, quantify and purify compounds.

The Agilent 1200 is the most comprehensive LC system now available. With more than 60 instrument modules, it can be configured for all major applications, including a new rapidresolution format and AgilentÆs revolutionary chip-based LC. Now, HPLCChips are available to apply this technology to both small- and large-molecule work, with chromatographic separation or just for the infusion of samples. Nanospray HPLCChip/ MS technology can provide customers with greater than 1000-fold improvement in sensitivity over more conventional LC/MS systems.

The 1200 series rapid-resolution system is 20 times faster and provides 60% higher resolution than conventional LC, making it twice as fast and three times as precise as alternative systems. It can also run any traditional LC method, making it the most flexible LC on the market.
