No more bubbles

TecanÆs new HS 400 Pro and HS 4800 Pro are based on the well-established HS series of hybridisation stations, and have been designed to maximise the reproducibility and reliability of microarray research by giving automated slide processing, from pre-hybridisation to drying.

These new instruments help to generate less background and fewer artifacts while increasing detection sensitivity. They both feature TecanÆs ABS (active bubble suppression) system to minimise the risk of bubble formation within chambers, enhancing the consistency of results. There is a variety of low-volume hybridisation chambers to save precious samples and dual chambers that are interchangeable with single-area chambers, allowing the processing of two subarrays per slide without carryover. Improved agitation of viscous buffers during hybridisation leads to better sensitivity and specificity, and helps to decrease hybridisation times.
